Welcome to Tanzania Health Opportunities (THO), where local efforts create a global impact. Our non-profit organization is dedicated to providing healthcare services in disadvantaged communities across Tanzania. Our team of passionate healthcare volunteers conducts community healthcare screenings and treatments during our outreach programs, aiming to help over 500 people daily.
OBJECTIVES
Our primary goal is to make the healthcare accessible to people who cannot able to afford or access , through THO medical missions even doctor consultaion is made possible. We conduct screenings and provide necessary treatment for approximately over 500 people per day during our medical outreach. we raise awareness about healthcare problems emerging, communicable like HIV, Malaria and non communicable (NCDs)
HOW DO WE DO
SET UP MEDICAL CAMP:
Tanzania health opportunities (THO) is a team of diverse licenced professionals, volunteers, and students. We travels to rural areas and set up temporary medical clinics to provide basic medical check-up, dental check-up/ oral health education, counseling and psychotherapy sessions, and eye screenings. These services are provided free charges to patients, because they cannot access to healthcare or doctor consultaions due to thier location or financial satatus. We thank for all who support the program.

COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIRS
We participate in community health fairs events to raise awareness about the communicable and non cmmunicable diseases, importance of health check-up.

Our community outreach programs bring essential healthcare and education to remote areas, ensuring that even the most marginalized communities receive the healthcare services. We believe Healthcare access is a Right, not Privilege.
MBWENI MEDICAL CAMP , KINONDONI
Tanzania Health Opportunities (THO) teamed up with STEMM, Ndovu dental clinic, Dr. Agarwals Eye hospital, to provide healthcare services to the residents of Mbweni. Together, we’re promoting better health and well-being in our community. We appreciate all who donated to support the medical camp.
KICHANGANI MOSQUE, MAGOMENI KINONDONI
Tanzania Health Opportunities (THO) teamed up with Kinondoni municipal, ndovu dental clinic, and Optical centre eye clinic we provided healthcare services and treatement to the residents of Kinondoni municipal. Thanks to THO donors and all who supported the event.
SAMMARITAN SCHOOL, CHAMAZI TEMEKE
THO in collaboration with Temeke Municipal Health Management, Ndovu dental clinic and Optical Centre Eye Clinic. conducted screening activities on January 30th 2024 in Chamazi Sammaritan School. This initiative aimed to provide comprehensive healthcare services, to residents of Chamazi area. The screening (mainly focused on assessing HIV, Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, diabetes, and risk factors) Eye Vision problems ( some students could not able focus on their studies due to poor vision), and dental care check-ups. Students identified with poor Vision were given glasses and Childrean found with Dental carries and problem were given treatment after the Outreach. We thank all volunteers who fundraised the event and all who participated to deliver healthcare to this communities.
